Qualifications:
ꪇBachelors degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
Preferably a certified public accountant (CPA).
At least 2 years’ experience with supervisory or Managerial.
Superior attention to detail and ability to work under high time pressure.
Excellent communication skills.
Analytical, organization and leadership skills.
Proficient in Excel.
Ability to handle and protect confidential documents.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the Financial Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. Assists in monthly closings and account analysis and supports the Chief Accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers up-to-date.
2. Ensure balance sheet schedules are up to date.
3. Maintains, updates and generates monthly expenses schedules.
4. Help in monitoring of the monthly ageing of receivables.
5. Preparation of Weekly report for consolidation.
6. Generates monthly reports for review of the Finance Head.
7. Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
8. Help in preparing journal entries for payroll and other accounting process.
9. Analyzes and reconciles expenditure and revenue accounts.
10. Prepares statistical reports and analysis of certain accounts.
11. Prepares audit schedules for external auditors.
12. Ensure proper filing of various tax returns i.e. Monthly/Quarterly VAT Returns, Withholding
Taxes Returns.
13. Monitors monthly/quarterly government regulatory contributions i.e. Social Security, Phil health
and Pag-ibig Contributions.
14. Assists in the preparation of the annual and mid-year budgets.
15. Monitors short-term placements/investments and validates interest rates offered by various
banks before any placement or roll-over of investment is made.
16. Support tax audits and compliance requirements
17. Handle accounting process improvements and projects.
18. Performs related tasks as directed by Finance and Accounting Head
